3rd Annual Theophilus Symposium and Journal Release Celebration
Theophilus: the Student Journal of the Catholic Theological Union will host its 3rd Annual Symposium on Tuesday, April 12th at 11:30am in the Atrium.This event features a presentation by the Paul Bechtold Library Faculty Choice Award winning author, as well as an exhibit of all of the student work published in this year’s edition of Theophilus, including peer-reviewed articles and commissioned columns. The journal release party will also unveil the 2016 cover, which will feature the artwork of a CTU student. Theophilus is an open-access journal published by the Catholic Theological Union through its Paul Bechtold Library.

Trial for Ebsco Full Text Finder
A trial for Ebsco's Full Text Finder is currently available. This service offers searching and browsing across many subject areas, including religion and theology. It includes all of the library's offerings from Ebsco, including ATLA Religion, as well as interdisciplinary resources such as Academic Search Complete. The trial is available through March 22nd.

March 2nd Deadline for Art Show Sponsored by Theophilus Journal
CTU student artists are invited to submit pieces for the CTU Art Show by March 2nd. The March exhibition is sponsored by Theophilus: The Student Journal of Catholic Theological Union. Artists may submit their work by emailing a photo of the work to theophilus@ctu.edu, along with their name, a description of the work, the medium and the size. The winning art work will be featured on the cover of the 2016 issue of Theophilus, which will be unveiled at the journal release celebration on April 12th.

Chicago Manual of Style Workshops for February and March
This workshop will cover the basics of the Chicago Manual of Style: Documentation I System as used at CTU. We will review the CTU Writing Handbook for Chicago Manual of Style tips, the basic outline of key topics in the Chicago Manual of Style, and the Chicago Manual of Style Online. You may bring your lunch, and bring your laptop if you wish.

Zotero Workshop on February 23rd
Would you like to learn more about using Zotero to manage your citations and make bibliographies? This workshop will cover the basics of installing Zotero for Firefox, how to save citations to Zotero, and how to create citations in appropriate citation styles. You may bring your lunch, and bring your laptop if you wish; additional help will be available after the workshop if you need assistance in installing Zotero. Please install the Firefox browser on your laptop before attending the workshop.

Library Publishing Program Launches Open Access E-books
The library is pleased to announce the launch of Paul Bechtold Library Publications’ open access monographs for 2015. Paul Bechtold Library Publications is a Catholic online, open-access publisher of theology and pastoral ministry monographs at the Catholic Theological Union through the Paul Bechtold Library. Its mission is to serve the Church by providing a forum for theologians and pastoral ministers to engage the Catholic tradition in respectful, constructive, and critical dialogue. Its primary intent and direction is to promote a deeper understanding of the Christian faith and the mission of the Church.
The publications program includes two ebooks in its catalog, which are free to download. Preaching Matters: A Praxis for Preachers, offers practical strategies to new and experienced preachers. Married in Mission: A Handbook for Couples in Cross-Cultural Service is a guide for Christian couples serving in overseas ministries.
Interested authors are encouraged to view the editorial policies and review the submission guidelines before preparing a submission.
